They say that “freedom’s not free”, and I agree. This world’s freedom from pain, hatred, and every other evil that we can think of involved the death of the Son of God Himself. Still, He says—“It was worth it” (John 8:32).
One of my best friends once wrote—“Life is so fragile. We have an enemy and we face tragedy as a result. Simultaneously, we serve a God that is so merciful.” He wants to set us free. Hence, His mercy is the key to the ultimate kind of freedom.
