All My Goodness...Before You.
“I will make all My goodness pass before you.” (Exo 33:19)
What if I tell you that you actually can know who God IS?...What if I even have a proof?...Would you believe me?
Moses once requested of the Lord—“Lord, show me your glory” (Exo 33:18), and what did the Lord say in return?—“I will make all My goodness pass before you” (vs. 19).
This past weekend, I was fortunate enough to get a tangible glimpse into that “goodness” which the Lord promised to the great leader. In fact, I dare say I even had a sneak-peak into eternity itself. How?
I saw familiar eyes full of excitement and shining bright when reflecting candlelight. I felt the warmth coming from the flames of a bonfire under the starts. I heard laughter coming out of pure joy due to a complete surprise. I witnessed the bond of love among friends and family coming together to celebrate the life of one unique human being.
In other words, I had a once-in-a-lifetime chance to experience the delight God must have felt on that sixth day when He said—“it was very good” (Gen. 1:31). Even more so, He allowed me to live through what He must feel every single time He sees us smiling widely out of moments full of wonder. The kind of moments when we feel truly and utterly loved. The kind of moments that are simply unforgettable. The kind of moments you and me have the opportunity to be part of.

As Lewis Carol once wrote, “In the end…we only regret the chances we didn’t take.” Therefore, next time you have the chance to experience God like this as He passes all His goodness before you, then don’t let it go by you.
It’s real, it’s worth it.
